General Service Technician

Employment: General Service Technician

As a General Service Technician you will be responsible for providing quality service by performing a variety of basic automotive repair / maintenance services.

Responsibilities include:

• Oil, lube, and filter changes
• Tire Installation
• Balance and rotate tires
• Mount/Dismount tires
• Flat repairs
• Replacement of air filters, bulbs, batteries, wiper blades, etc.
• Perform courtesy/vehicle inspections
• Properly complete/fill out the customer work order
• Maintain a clean work environment
• Ensure the facility grounds are well maintained (trash picked up, etc.)
• Pick-up / deliver tires
• Pick-up / deliver customers to their work/home via the company’s courtesy shuttle
• Attend and participate in store meetings
• Adhere to company policies and procedures
• Comply with OSHA and EPA polices

Qualifications

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, twist, reach, grip, handle, lift/carry up to 60 pounds, and push/pull up to 60 pounds up to 2/3 of the work day
• Must also have the ability to lift/carry over 60 pounds and push/pull over 60 pounds up to 1/3 of the work day
• Must be able to safely operate shop equipment
• Demonstrate the ability to learn and repeat basic mechanical repairs
• Ability to communicate verbally and in writing with customers, sales associates, and management
• Must be reliable and able to work a flexible schedule depending on business needs
• Valid driver’s license and ability to operate company and customer vehicles
• Ability to stand for eight (8) to ten (10) hours per day
